159 New COVID-19 Cases Today. New Sites for Testing Opening Next Week.

Governor Andy Beshear, at today’s Coronavirus Press Conference, said that there were 159 New COVID-19 Cases in the state today, bringing the state’s total to 2,429. Of the new cases, there was a 10-month old baby in Laurel County in the new count. The Governor asked for caution tomorrow as the numbers for tomorrow will be higher because of new testing sites coming online.
There were 7 new deaths announced.
The Governor also announced that the partnership with Ohio and Indiana on how to open the states for commerce will happen has added Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Illinois to the working group.
Kroger Drive-through Testing:
Frankfort’s last day had 202 tests today.
Kenton County: 227 tests today. They will keep testing through Saturday
4 new sites will open next Tuesday through Thursday in Madisonville, Paducah, Somerset, and Pikeville. These sites will be open from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm and hope to test up to 330 per day, per location.

There have been 29,747 Total tests conducted in the state. Of those 971 have ever been in the Hospital and there are 177 in the Hospital now. 506 people have been in the ICU for COVID-19 and there are 333 now in the ICU for COVID-19. 956 have completely recovered.
