At Governor Andy Beshear’s daily Coronavirus Press Conference today:
Testing: The 4 Kroger Partnership testing sites are doing well, with Lexington doing another 264 tests today and Louisville testing another 242 today. They will add a second week of testing at Lexington, Louisville, and Bowling Green and adding a site in Ashland for next Tuesday through Thursday.
Healthy at Work Phase 1: On Monday, May 11th the state will allow the following business to open with Social Distancing and masks. Manufacturing, Construction, Vehicle or Vessel Dealerships, Professional Services (reduced by 50%), Horse Racing with no fans, Dog Grooming and Boarding.
On May 20, the state will allow Retail and Houses of Worship to open under new restrictions.
On May 25, the state will allow gathering of 10 or fewer people and Barber Shops & Salons, Cosmetology businesses, and similar services.
There were 184 new cases of COVID-19 in Kentucky reported today, bringing the total to 4,539 Kentuckians infected. There were 4 new cases in Fayette County, 3 in Jessamine County and 1 each in Anderson, Clark, and Woodford Counties.
There were 54,101 Kentuckians tested so far. Of those 1,359 have ever been in the Hospital for COVID-19, there are 375 in now. There have been 636 Kentuckians ever in the ICU with COVID-19, there are 176 in now.
There were 10 deaths announced today.
