Highlights of Governor Beshear’s Daily Coronavirus Press Conference

Today at Governor Andy Beshear’s daily press conference about Coronavirus he said that there were 173 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday and 80 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday in the Commonwealth. (There was no press conference yesterday.) On Saturday there were 18 new cases in Fayette County and one each in Anderson and Franklin Counties.  On Sunday there were 15 new cases reported in Fayette County, bringing the Commonwealth’s total of infections to 5,130.
There have been 58,408 Kentuckians tested for COVID-19. Of those there have been 1,519 ever in the Hospital, there are 329 in now. There have been 654 Kentuckians ever in the ICU with COVID-19, there are 170 in the ICU now with COVID-19. There have been 1,892 Kentuckians who have recovered from COVID-19.
There will be 4 Drive-Through test sites in the Kroger Partnership. They are in Louisville, Lexington, and Bowling Green this Monday – Friday, and Ashland opens Tuesday – Thursday. There are some tests available at each location to book. They have 206 slots available in Lexington on Friday. To register go to KrogerHealth.com/COVIDTesting
The Walgreen’s Partnership in Lexington can test 106 people per day but can handle more. There are open to those 18+ with Symptoms. To register, go to Walgreens.com
