Tuesday’s COVID-19 Data: 2,500 New, 11.00% Positivity, 7 New Deaths

Face Coverings Executive Order:
Governor Beshear today announced that he will sign an Executive Order that requires all K-12 Students, Faculty, Staff and Visitors to wear a Mask at Schools and Child Care & Pre-Kindergarten programs in the Commonwealth while at School.
K-12 Return to School Guidance:
School districts should require all unvaccinated students and unvaccinated adults to wear a mask when in classrooms ands other indoor school settings
School districts should require all students under 12 years of age to wear a mask when in classrooms and other indoor school settings.
School districts waiting to optimize safety and minimize risk of educational and athletic disruption should require all students and all adults to wear a mask while in the classroom and other indoor school settings.
Fayette County Schools to Mandate Mask Wearing for all students, faculty, staff & visitors to any Fayette County facility to start the new School Year. (K-12)
Mask Recommendations:
All unvaccinated Kentuckians should wear masks indoors when not in their home.
Kentuckians at higher risk due to pre-existing conditions should wear masks indoors when not in their home.
Vaccinated Kentuckians in jobs with significant public exposure should consider wearing a mask at Work.
All Unvaccinated Kentuckians, when eligible, should be vaccinated immediately.
Also, Governor Beshear on Wednesday that ALL employees, and visitors, including those who are fully Vaccinated are now REQUIRED to wear masks in Kentucky State Offices.

The data collected by the Kentucky Department for Public Health (KDPH) on case patients comes from a number of sources, including electronic laboratory reports, provider case
disease and COVID-19 investigation reports, local health department investigation results, hospital infection prevention clinical patient data, and KDPH investigation results. Data is often found incomplete and/or incorrect and during KDPH investigation individual patient-level data is added to, corrected, and de-duplicated so that overall case counts and aggregate data values change daily.
